Sam's Life in a Nutshell

Four passports, five US states, three Canadian provinces, and seven nations -- that life experience alone would make you a communication expert. Sam further has a Bachelor of Science in Film/Communications from Emerson College, a Certificate in Adult Education from UFV, and training in a variety of techniques from nonviolent communication to growth mindset. With deep roots in narrative storytelling for the Film/TV Industry for dozens of talented high caliber individuals, she understands how to work with many personality types and can ensure all stakeholders are satisfied by the final project. Sam will save you time, money, and stress! Rather than fixating on the many details, Sam can help you see the big picture.

Family archives deserve more than storage boxes and forgotten hard drives.

For most of my life, I've been helping people make sense of information, stories, and collections.

My background spans libraries, museums, publishing, documentary filmmaking, writing, editing, and professional organizing. Across every role, the work has been remarkably similar: preserving what matters, creating order from complexity, and making important information easy to find and use.

Over the years I've helped organize everything from family photographs and personal archives to digital files, historical materials, manuscripts, and large collections of information. I bring a trained eye for detail, a love of storytelling, and a practical approach to projects that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

I know firsthand that photographs, letters, documents, and digital files are rarely "just stuff." They are often the record of a life, a family, a business, or a community. They hold memories, relationships, milestones, and stories that deserve to be preserved and shared.

Today, through Darling Declutter, I help individuals and families transform scattered photographs, documents, hard drives, cloud storage, and personal archives into organized, searchable collections that can be enjoyed now and preserved for future generations.

Whether you're helping an aging parent downsize, managing inherited family materials, or trying to make sense of decades of accumulated digital files, my goal is the same: to create order, reduce overwhelm, and help ensure that the stories that matter are not lost.
